Wind development is breaking new ground in the region—sometimes to the applause of communities and sometimes surrounded by criticism.
This has been a remarkable year for Great Lakes protection. As 2008 comes to a close, we reflect on some of the achievements citizens and organizations across the region deserve to celebrate.

Erie Renewable Energy, LLC is proposing to build a new tire-to-energy plant on the site of a former paper mill in Erie Pennsylvania.
