Join Us For Our 25th Anniversary Celebrations

A quarter of a century ago a group of dedicated and concerned basin residents planted the seed of Great Lakes United. Since then, we have grown to become the only binational coalition working to ensure the long-term health of the Great Lakes – St. Lawrence River ecosystem and the communities that it supports.

This June 15-17 we invite you to join us at Ryerson University in Toronto as we reflect on our accomplishments and look forward to developing a comprehensive plan to face the emerging and persistent challenges that threaten the basin.

The health of the Great Lakes is at a crossroad. Climate change, invasive species, and toxic pollution are placing enormous pressures on the ecosystem and federal governments are failing to take real steps to address these challenges. It is time to act.

We are assembling a premier lineup of speakers and facilitators who will address these challenges and assist us, as a coalition, to go back to our communities and create a plan of action for long-term solutions.

With the support of Tandberg Corporation, a global leader in videoconferencing technology, we will do our part to offset travel emissions by having several speakers from across the basin participate by videolink. With Tandberg’s help, this will be GLU’s greenest AGM to date.
