What is the process for passing resolutions?
Resolutions for the 2012 meeting are due by September 10, 2012. When consensus is found between the sponsoring organization and the coalition as a whole, the resolution is finalized and brought forward for a formal vote.
What happens after a resolution is passed?
When a resolution is passed, it is signed by the Secretary of the Board of Directors and affirmed as Great Lakes United policy. From there, Great Lakes United works with the submitting organization to follow through on any commitments, and to ensure that the position is publicized and seen by decision-makers.
Who can be nominated to the Board of Directors?
Directors must represent a organizational member, and must reside within the geographical boundaries of the position for which they are nominated.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes, self-nominations are acceptable.
