As always, we could not do this work without the generous support and active engagement of our coalition. Thank you all for taking the time to be involved and for the continued dedication you show in protecting the Great Lakes.
We are looking for feedback on our Annual Meeting process from all members and supporters. If you have a few minutes, please take this brief survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/glu_meeting2011
Every year the Great Lakes United coalition meets to review its successes and set a path forward. We have had great success in recent years by taking the meeting virtual, and are doing so again this year. This gives members from across the region an easier opportunity to have their voice heard.
There are two major components to the annual meeting, voting on resolutions and voting in new board members.
Member groups of Great Lakes United are encouraged to submit resolutions that will direct the policy of Great Lakes United in the upcoming years. The deadline for submitting resoultions has now passed, and all resolutions that will be considered during this year's meeting can viewed here.
Resolutions will be vetted during the week of November 21st. Members are encouraged to participate in these calls, and more information can be found on the resolutions page.
All past resolutions can be found in our information centre.
The second component of the Annual Meeting is the nomination and election of new board members. We are still seeking nominations, and any interested candidates should contact Barbara Cram-Crabtree at ccbarb@gmail.com.
The nomination form can be found here.
The AGM will end with an open call for members with staff and Board members available to answer questions, on December 12th.
We look forward to hearing from our engaged members and working to protect the Great Lakes together!
